Bill Davenport

Bill accelerates Cisco’s connectivity and technology policy engagements with U.S. and international government entities. In this role, he led Cisco's efforts to strengthen the FCC's E-Rate program and provide updated cybersecurity protections to schools and libraries. He also advocates with regulators on wireless policy issues, seeking to alleviate spectrum congestion and enable new advanced technologies. Bill works closely with Cisco's engineering team and is a member of the FCC's Technological Advisory Council.

Prior to joining Cisco, Bill served as Chief of Staff and Senior Legal Advisor for FCC Commissioner Geoffrey Starks, where he oversaw the office’s operations and advised the Commissioner on wireless, equipment, and international issues. He is a graduate of Northwestern University and the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School.
