Professional Bio
Kristen came aboard the SHLB Coalition team in 2022 to augment its increasing advocacy work. In this role, she works with SHLB members and government officials to ensure new and existing broadband policies account for the connectivity needs of anchor institutions and their users. Kristen was previously a communications attorney at Fletcher, Heald & Hildreth PLC, where she assisted wireless, radio, and television broadcast clients with filings, pleadings, and other regulatory needs. Kristen’s career in the telecom space began in 2014 as a licensing specialist for Crown Castle. From 2015 to 2020, she represented a major wireless carrier in commercial leasing, licensing and matters around infrastructure acquisition as a Telecommunications Attorney at Baker Donelson.
Kristen earned her J.D. with the magna cum laude distinction from Michigan State University. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Stetson University. In 2022, Kristen was honored by Best Lawyers as One to Watch - Communications Law in D.C.
