Kimberlyn Jones

Kimberlyn Jones, a Kansas City native is known as a strong community advocate. Kimberlyn holds the role of Digital Opportunities Program Manager for the Kansas Office of Broadband Development branding herself as the Sunflower Lady.  Ms. Jones received a bachelor’s degree from the University Missouri-Columbia in Business Administration and a Certificate in Dance. She pursued her graduate studies at Rockhurst University receiving her Executive MBA in Business Management.  Her professional career is adorned as an insurance professional, bank management, nonprofit management, entrepreneurship, economic development business officer, and most recently a workforce economic development manager at a local community college. She has two grown children, Kiara and Curtis, the loves of her life. During her free time, her passion for dance and business acumen, established the Kansas City Metropolitan Dance Theatre, a nonprofit dance education and performing arts center for children in the urban core in which she continues to serve her community. She is a member of the Links Incorporated, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.  For fun she likes to travel, wine, cook, attend festivals, vintage cars, and gather with friends and family
