Will Pfeffer

Will Pfeffer has been the Civic Technologist at the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC, greater Boston’s regional planning agency) since 2022. In this role Will leads MAPC’s work on digital equity, including Municipal Digital Equity Planning, broadband access and procurement for public and affordable housing, and other Digital Equity projects. Will also serves as a Working Group Member on the FCC Communications Equity and Diversity Council, a federal advisory council.

Previously, Will worked in nonprofit civic technology (at organizations including Code for America and MetroLab Network) and higher education (at Northeastern University’s School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs and at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government). Will has lived in Boston, MA since 2012.
