Upcoming Webinar: Should Congress Repeal the FCC’s E-Rate HotSpot Lending Decision?
Congress is considering legislation in the Senate and House to reverse the FCC’s decision last July to allow schools and libraries to apply for E-Rate funding for hotspots. Hotspots provide wireless Internet access to students, school staff and library patrons at home. Over 800 schools and libraries are preparing to apply for this funding in 2025. But some members of Congress allege that the program goes beyond the statutory language and is wasteful. This webinar will review the data and provide real world examples of how hotspots can bring affordable internet access to families in need.
